The Path of the Heart Bhakti Yoga Module - 50 hours with Tiana Prince (RYT500, E-RYT200, YACEP) Embark on the path of love and devotion in this three-weekend immersion in Bhakti Yoga, an ancient spiritual tradition born from the longing of our hearts for an intimate and personal connection with the divine. Bring love to the centre of your life and practice, and become an embodiment of devotion as you learn Bhakti Yoga philosophy and history, Sanskrit mantras and kirtan, how to play harmonium, stories of the Gods and Goddesses, and much more. This module will also include a field trip to a Bhakti yoga temple in Toronto! In this module, we will explore: -Bhakti Yoga philosophy and the 9 Limbs of Bhakti Yoga -Ancient Bhakti Yoga texts -Sanskrit mantra chanting and kirtan -Harmonium basics -Discovering and empowering your authentic voice -Storytelling and mythology of the Hindu Gods and Goddesses -Devotional poetry -Altar creation -Sacred food (Prasāda) and traditional food blessing mantra -Sādhanā: self-study, reflection, and bringing devotion into your everyday life -Fieldtrip to a Bhakti Yoga temple in Toronto to participate in Arati, Kirtan, and Spiritual Discourse Required Reading & Materials: -Wise-Love: Bhakti and the Search for the Soul of Consciousness by Pranada Comtois -Harmoniums to practice on will be provided, however if you have your own, or another musical instrument, please bring it with you -Module Manual (will be provided) -Notebook and pen Additional Reading (optional): -Paths to God by Ram Dass Who is this for: Anyone that wants to explore the yogic path of devotion, and expand and inspire their personal practice and life through the lens of Bhakti love! For certified yoga teachers, this module can count towards Continuing Education credits or your 300-hour advanced Nirmāṇa Yoga Teacher Training. However, it can also be taken as an immersion for any non-certified yoga teachers. Prerequisites: -Please re-read the Bhagavad-Gīta prior to our first training date -200 hour YTT (only if you are taking this module as Continuing Education or part of your 300 hour YTT) 2025 Training Dates: Week 1: June 7-8 (Saturday & Sunday: 9am-5pm) Week 2: June 21-22 (Saturday & Sunday, 9am-5pm) Week 3: June 28-29 (Saturday: 9am-5pm, Sunday: 1pm-9pm *evening field trip to Toronto) Tuition: $750 + hst *Save $50 when you enroll in 2024* Secure your space with a non-refundable $200 deposit.
