Qi Gong is known as the graceful art and science of refining and cultivating our internal energy. Through varying poses and movements, we learn to release, tonify, expand and circulate Qi (Vital Force) efficiently and fluidly throughout the energetic meridians of the body. This creates a harmonized state of well-being and peace of mind via the body as a foundation. Caelan will be facilitating an integrative form of standing postures, movement meditations and sitting practice that work with the 5-element system of Qi Gong. In every class we will work with each meridian line as a mirrored reflection of seasons, emotions and subtle energetic qualities to consciously bring our physical and energetic nature back into harmony. Here, we discover that, as we transform our state energetically, the physical and mental realms naturally transform, too. This lays the foundation for health, wholeness and genuine self-discovery. This class is open to all levels of experience, and the standing movements are very accessible and integrate-able to practice in studio, at home and in nature. The practice can also be mimicked in sitting position if needed for accessibility reasons.
