Release Breathwork
Conscious Connected Breathwork
Service Description
Friday, September 27th from 7:30 - 9:30 pm Join Aleah and Chris of Release Breathwork for a conscious connected breathwork experience. This technique is a breathing pattern in which the breather intentionally connects the inhale with the exhale, without any pauses between the breaths. This cyclical breathing floods the body with oxygen and energy, with both physical and emotional benefits. It is a powerful and safe way to reach a deep connection to our bodies and our minds. During the session past trauma, memories, pain and experiences which are stored in our cells may come up. We place a high importance on creating a safe space filled with vulnerability and compassion so each individual can feel supported throughout their experience. We invite you to give yourself permission to release the things that are holding you back in all areas of your life. What to bring? - a yoga mat (we have a few to share if you need one) - a cozy blanket (we'll provide 1 blanket) - a pillow or cushion to rest your head - an eye mask (we have eye pillows if you need one) - comfy clothing & layers to stay warm - a journal & pen to jot down any reflections (optional) * TIPS * - Minimize or avoid caffeine 2-3 hrs before your breathwork session - Avoid eating large meals 2-3 hrs prior to your breathwork session - Remove eye make-up before class as we will be wearing eye masks - Come with an open mind and an open heart Contraindications Please consult your doctor before your breathwork session if you have any of the following conditions in your personal or family history: - cardiovascular disease (including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, use of pace-maker) - glaucoma, retinal detachment - osteoporosis - significant recent physical injuries or surgery - mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons with major medications - persons who have experienced a psychotic episode requiring hospitalization - it has been highly suggested that this work is not suitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms - persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and the breathwork session facilitator - woman who are pregnant should always consult with their primary care physician before breathing, especially in the later trimesters
