Nirmana Yoga Loft is a Registered School of Yoga with the Canadian Yoga Alliance and is accredited to certify new teachers at the 200-hour training level as well as continuing education programs. This program is created in accordance with the Canadian Yoga Alliance guidelines for teacher training.

YIN YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

2 FULL WEEKENDS OF TRAINING IN OCTOBER 2023

Our Registered School of Yoga offers you the teachings that you simply don't get in a drop-in class and facilitates a way for your to move deeper into the self-inquiry practices integral to the ancient science of yoga. Each training module delves into an area that encourages you to “come home to yourself” deepening your understanding of all elements of your practice and your true nature, enabling you to teach and share from a place of authenticity. 

Yin Yoga is an essential part of a balanced practice and a refuge in todays busy world.  We hope you’ll join us!  This training is open to Yoga Teachers and very experienced Yin practitioners who want to deepen their practice. 


Must be a graduate of a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training Program. Upon completion of this course, Yoga Teachers will receive a 50 hour credit certification which certifies you as a Yin Yoga Teacher. A functional approach that allows you to see anatomical variations and skillfully adapt the poses for every student.  Understand the critical role of fascia and meridians.  Explore the Rebound and Energetics

YIN YTT MODUL BREAKDOWN

Module 1 Foundations is a 50- hour continuing education certified by the Canadian Yoga Alliance.  It is based on the teachings of Paul Grilley, one of the modern pioneers of Yin Yoga. Our instructor, Dianne Harris, has studied extensively with Paul (300+hours) and also has completed Sarah Powers Insight Yoga Institute 500-hr program.  Sarah is another of the pioneers of Yin Yoga.  Paul Grilley has  reviewed our training manual and written the forward to it and has given his permission to use his methods and materials for this training.

There are 40 contact hours and 10 non-contact hours.


This is a training to deepen your practice and understanding of Yin Yoga and yourself, as you dive into this powerful and quiet practice. This course is a functional approach to anatomy and the shapes of Yin Yoga.  It based on every body being different and learning to skillfully adapt the poses to suit every individual.  You will gain an understanding of the methods, anatomy, energetics and meridians affected in the practice of yin yoga. Your learnings will apply to and enrich all forms of yoga you teach. The course includes a 200 page manual that is designed to serve as an ongoing reference for life.


* Module 1 is everything needed for already certified yoga teachers to skillfully and confidently teach Yin Yoga after Module 1. Stay tuned for dates for Module 2, a deep immersive dive into deeper content.


* Module 2, which is a separate course,  builds on the first as it interweaves inner practices into Yin Yoga and is based on the generous teachings of Sarah Powers.  From Buddhism, meridians, chakras, meditation, advanced poses and other ancient health practices you’ll dive more deeply into this practice.

$890 + hst - Enrollment Closes October 14, 2023

$150 

Once you have been accepted into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to secure your space in this training. This course is non-refundable, although a space can be reserved for you at our next training in the event that you are unable to complete the course due to unforeseen circumstances.

Training Materials

YTT SUPPLIES

It is ideal for every student to have their own set of props for yoga, including a good quality yoga mat, bolster, strap, and eye pillow - however, all props will be available for students to use at the studio. Do invest in a good quality yoga mat to support your practice.

All YTT students will be required to purchase a training manual to support the training:
