YIN YTT MODUL BREAKDOWN

Module 1 Foundations is a 50- hour continuing education certified by the Canadian Yoga Alliance.  It is based on the teachings of Paul Grilley, one of the modern pioneers of Yin Yoga. Our instructor, Dianne Harris, has studied extensively with Paul (300+hours) and also has completed Sarah Powers Insight Yoga Institute 500-hr program.  Sarah is another of the pioneers of Yin Yoga.  Paul Grilley has  reviewed our training manual and written the forward to it and has given his permission to use his methods and materials for this training.

There are 40 contact hours and 10 non-contact hours.

This is a training to deepen your practice and understanding of Yin Yoga and yourself, as you dive into this powerful and quiet practice. This course is a functional approach to anatomy and the shapes of Yin Yoga.  It based on every body being different and learning to skillfully adapt the poses to suit every individual.  You will gain an understanding of the methods, anatomy, energetics and meridians affected in the practice of yin yoga. Your learnings will apply to and enrich all forms of yoga you teach. The course includes a 200 page manual that is designed to serve as an ongoing reference for life.

* Module 1 is everything needed for already certified yoga teachers to skillfully and confidently teach Yin Yoga after Module 1. Stay tuned for dates for Module 2, a deep immersive dive into deeper content.

* Module 2, which is a separate course,  builds on the first as it interweaves inner practices into Yin Yoga and is based on the generous teachings of Sarah Powers.  From Buddhism, meridians, chakras, meditation, advanced poses and other ancient health practices you’ll dive more deeply into this practice.
